UPDATED 9.20AM: The Government's promising to provide more support for businesses who trade with China.

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang is in the country.

Prime Minister Bill English said there will be a strong focus on the very successful China-New Zealand trade agreement.

He said more money will be put into doing a better job with the deal and helping businesses make the best of it.

Bill English said part of that is looking at the upgrade to the agreement.

He said one or two industry-specific opportunities will also be announced over the next couple of days.
