Forensic testing will begin today on the car connected to the disappearance of Invercargill boy Mike Zhao-Beckenridge.
The 11-year-old and his estranged step-father have been missing for almost two months.
The vehicle was pulled from the water at Curio Bay in the Catlins yesterday, and taken to Invercargill for further testing.
Police say forensic testing on the vehicle will take several days.
