UPDATED 5.09pm:Â More historic remains have been found on Aoraki Mt Cook National Park.
Alerted by climbers, Canterbury police found the body last week in the Tasman Glacier, after discovering another body in the same area last month.
Since records began around 1912, about 70 people have been reported missing and never found.
Rural area commander David Gaskin says the weather's behind the frequent finds.
He says low snow fall and warm temperatures have caused more snow to move and melt.
The bodies have been referred to the Coroner to identify.
