Race and disability have made up the bulk of complaints to the Human Rights Commission over the last year.
Just released figures show the commission received five thousand 598 human rights enquiries last year - 30 percent were on grounds of race and 30 percent on grounds of disability.
Fourteen percent of enquiries were to do with sexual discrimination and 10 percent were about age.
Just under fiver percent were about religious discrimination while point seven percent, or 39 people, said they were discriminated against over their political opinions.
There's also been an almost half million dollar blow-out in restructuring costs at the HRC.
The organisation's annual report reveals the commission spent $880,000 on its organisational review last financial year.
It coincided with the organisation reporting a deficit of just over $1 million.
According to the numbers, the organisation spent $491,000 over budget on its organisational review.
Longer than expected contract support and higher costs on staff cessation payments are cited as factors.
