Three different protest groups have walked down Auckland's Queen Street ahead of the Boobs on Bikes Parade.

More than 60 woman paraded their bare chests down one of Auckland's busiest streets today.

Newstalk ZB's Alicia Burrow said Stop Demand, men against sexual violence and a human rights group were waving placards.

"They want to give the crowds the clear message that some people are not happy with women going down down bikes on a main street of Auckland baring their breasts."

Stop Demand's Denise Ritchie said it was the perfect audience to get their message across.

"We're less interested in the boobs, we see it's an ideal crowd to get our messages out to in the hope that some people might pause and reflect on the bigger picture of pornography."

Alicia Burrow said families, with children, were there - lining the edges of Queen Street to watch the parade.
