Auckland businessman Mark Lyon broke the law on several occasions during his career, but for his latest crime he got 15 years in prison.

The Prostitutes' Collective say they've had reports about young girls being solicited for sex in exchange for methamphetamine.

National coordinator Catherine Healy says there are girls who do sex work for drugs, but what Mark Lyon did was worth jail time.

"It is against the law to facilitate anyone who's under the age of 18 for sex work."

Mark Lyon knowingly fuelled the drug addictions of girls as young as 14 so he could force them to perform sexual acts on him.
