Canterbury police have seized a cocktail of different drugs after executing 18-separate search warrants in Waimate yesterday.
Three men will appear in court today in relation to the search warrants, and five other people have been bailed and will reappear in November.
Sergeant Michael Van Der Heyden said police have confiscated a significant number of drugs from people they believe to be selling them.
"Synthetic Cannabis, cannabis plants, Ritalin and other related drugs. No methamphetamine was recovered today but people were charged in relation to the information we had obtained during the operation."
He hopes the arrests have made a significant impact to Waimate's cultivation and supply network.
"Having good information support from your community to get rid of the problem that has been facing our youth has been quite beneficial to us in being able to identify these persons concerned so it's been quite useful for the police."
Sergeant Van Der Heyden said more arrests are likely to follow in the coming weeks.
