UPDATED 3.56PM: Police say the investigation into the death of a 15-month-old baby in Christchurch might take up to four days to complete.

The child was found at a property in Truman Road in Bryndwr, after emergency services were called to the house at around 10.30pm last night.

The baby was found unconscious and had unexplainable injuries. It was then taken to Christchurch Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are now waiting for the results of a post-mortem examination and have talked to the two adults living at the address to try to work out what led to the baby's death.
