A patched Tribesmen gang member has been arrested after a drugs swoop at Auckland Airport.
Two-point two kilos of methamphetamine worth more than two million dollars has been seized in an operation by police and customs officials.
Detective Senior Sergeant Albie Alexander says the gang member is due in court tomorrow facing five charges.
These include allegations relating to another 1.2 kilos of imported methamphetamine.
"Our investigation, albeit started in September, it appears that his methods or the methods used by this particualr individual could have gone back as far as twelve months."
