Adventure tourists aren't expected to be deterred by yesterday's Shotover Jet crash.

A 12-year-old girl is in hospital with back injuries after the Shotover Jet boat she was in crashed into a rock yesterday.

Tourism Industry Association CEO Chris Roberts says it won't affect visitor numbers at all.

"Visitors know that adventure tourism by its very nature contains some risk, so minor incidents like this have no impact whatsoever."
