Alarm from New Zealand First at a creeping foreign influence over New Zealand's tourism sector.
It follows the sale of the Queenstown Hilton to Chinese land-owner Shanghai Pengxin.
New Zealand First's Fletcher Tabuteau says tourists are flying in on foreign airlines, staying in foreign-owned hotels and spending their foreign bank money in foreign-owned stores.
"There's been a lot of examples where even people working in the premises aren't necessarily citizens.
"It'd be great if they were, but I think there are plenty of examples where even the people in the store aren't and none of that money is coming to New Zealand."
