Mangere Central School is set to be the first school to benefit from a new initiative to feed hungry children.

Auckland woman Lisa King has set up Eat My Lunch, a business which she says makes it easy for Kiwis to help other Kiwis.

When customers buy a lunch for themselves, Eat My Lunch will deliver another meal to a child who can't afford their own.

The business is working in partnership with KidsCan, to identify which schools are most in need of lunches.

New Zealand chef Michael Meredith has also come on board to help the venture.
