Police have confirmed more remains have been found at a beach where a human leg bone was discovered in a boot yesterday.

The new find was made by Police scouring the coastline of the beach near near Washdydke, just north of Timaru.

Inspector Dave Gaskin believes the remains belong to the same body.

He said there will be an autopsy tomorrow to try and find out the cause of death and identify the body.

The grisly finds are not thought to be suspicious.
