A fatal crash on State Highway Two at Paengaroa has claimed another life.

A 31-year-old Indian man from Rotorua has died in Waikato Hospital overnight after being cut out of the wreckage by the Fire Service just before 8am yesterday.

The driver died at the scene after the VW Golf collided with a milk truck at the intersection of the main road with Wilson Road.

Two women passengers remain in a critical condition, while a third man suffered minor injuries.
