The second part of a Coroner's inquest into the deaths of two Canadian tourists will begin in Greymouth today.
Joanna Lam and Connor Hayes were killed when a landslide pushed their campervan into the swollen Haast River in September last year.
The first part of the inquest was adjourned in February after Coroner David Crerar found the couple died from high energy impact injuries as a result of the avalanche.
Today's inquest will examine road safety issues and discuss whether the Haast Pass should have been closed on the night of the accident.
Joanna Lam's body was discovered 55km from the crash site...the body of Connor Hayes has never been found.
