Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed of a fatal crash between a pedestrian and a small truck in Tokoroa to come forward.

Ioane Pere was critically injured when he was hit by a truck on Dalmeny Street at 9pm on February 20.

The 72-year old later died in Waikato Hospital.

Constable Brendan Ede says two people were reportedly on the footpath at the time and they want to hear from them.

The Serious Crash Unit are investigating.
