Hundreds of tourists have been airlifted out of Fiordland after torrential rain brought down a slip, blocking Deep Cove.
Up to 339 people were trapped this afternoon as a result, according to Stuff.co.nz.
Helicopters were called in to rescue those trapped, when weather conditions in the area got worse.
