The family of a missing 71 year old man last seen leaving Pauanui is desperate for information on his whereabouts.

Glenn McLean was seen leaving the seaside resort on the Coromandel Peninsula on Tuesday night to drive to Auckland.

He's travelling in a black 2006 Range Rover with the registration DNK812.

His daughter, Ruth McLean says it's very out of character so the family is extremely worried.

She's asking anyone who may have seen anything to contact police.
