The worker was working at Emm Jay Dairy on the corner of Brookfield and Grey Streets in Hamilton East this morning when two masked males entered the shop at about 8.30am.

They struck the worker on his hands using a machete. They were also armed with an axe.

The two robbers then fled the store with cigarettes and cash before fleeing in a stolen silver Mazda Familia with the registration FEP218. The vehicle headed south.
