It's day two of the country's junior resident doctors strike - with Canterbury doctors receiving much public support.
Thousands of junior resident doctors are striking around the country - including hundreds in Canterbury.
It's the second strike in less than a year, with doctors pushing DHBs for safer working conditions.
CDHB medical registrar Dr Tamara Brodie said she joined other supporters at a picket line on Tuesday.
"We had a lot of public support, people stopping by and just saying that they were with us in spirit, so it was definitely a positive atmosphere there for us."
Brodie said the doctors on strike will be taking the next couple of days to recuperate.
"People are resting and spending some time with their families and time at home."
