Nearly a quarter of a century on, a Te Puke woman is hoping someone will come forward with answers about her mother's death.
Judy Yorke went missing from a party at a packing shed in October 1992.
Her daughter Shannel Yorke was just three-years-old.
As the 25th anniversary of her mother's disappearance nears, she said it remains hard to grieve without a body - and wants those responsible to face up to what they did, and come forward.
However, she remains doubtful they ever will.
Bay of Plenty police say they've always had suspects and always believed someone at the party was involved.
Inquiry head Detective Senior Sergeant John Wilson is urging those involved to come forward.
He said they've lived with it for 25 years and it's time to wipe the slate clean.
The general police consensus is Ms Yorke was killed at the party, and her body was disposed of later.
