The Christchurch City Council will give more than 40 million dollars to rebuild community facilities.
Mayor Lianne Dalziel has announced the Council is determined to get the facilities and heritage spaces most missed in earthquake hit communities fixed.
They'll be pushing through 40 million dollars worth of work to restore community facilities including swimming pools, libraries and heritage facilities.
This follows the Mayor's announcement she's opened up public consultation on the Council's Long Term Plan.
Ms Dalziel says the plan gives the public an insight into their difficult financial situation and challenges over the next 10 years to get the city back on track.
