The door is ajar for changes to be made to the way the justice system treats sex crime victims.

Following the lack of prosecutions in the Roast Busters case the Greens and Labour are pushing the Government to let the Law Commission resume a review of trial and pre-trial processes in sexual violence cases.

Cabinet Minister Simon Bridges is signalling such moves might not be out of the question.

He says it's an area the Justice Minister is interested in taking further advice on and looking into.

Mr Bridges says the Government's committed to supporting victims of crime, particularly victims of sexual crime, there fore the way they interact with the justice system is constantly being reviewed.
