Customer feedback is being cited as the main reason for Lotto changing its draws.Â
There will no longer be a Big Wednesday draw but instead, Lotto, Powerball and Strike will be played on both Wednesday and Saturday.
The jackpot for Powerball will be linked between both draws, which means that if the top prize isn't struck on Saturday it will increase and be up for grabs on the following Wednesday - and so on, until it's won.
Lotto spokesperson Emilia Mazur says the changes are based on customer feedback.
"Lotto on Wednesday and Saturday is a much simpler way to play and it will create more winners, more millionaires and give our players more chances to win."
"We know people like a bit of that Saturday feeling on Wednesday so think it's going to take off from the get go."
Mazur says the exact date for the changes is yet to be announced, but it's likely to be in October.
