Updated 5.16pm: TV3's Campbell Live show may be getting the axe.

MediaWorks management has confirmed it's reviewing the future of its current affairs flagship.

Bosses have told staff the channel is thinking of canning the current affairs show for a daily version of the Jono and Ben entertainment show.

That is one option in a 'consultative document' that's been handed out.

The move follows a period of poor ratings for the show.

The network's head of news, Mark Jennings, says viewer expectations are very different ten years after Campbell Live went to air.

He won't give a timeframe for the review, but says they're now consulting with affected staff.
