Calls for the Government to take clear action and put an end to violence against women and girls following the release of the Sir Owen Glenn-funded inquiry report.
The UN Women National Committee Aotearoa New Zealand is urging the Government to implement the recommendations of the recently released People's Blueprint report.
Among the recommendations are calls for a whole-system approach, a national prevention campaign, tighter alcohol reform and the appointment of a Family Violence Minister.
President Angela McCleod says these recommendations will go a long way to helping curb the appalling rates of violence against women and girls.
She says action is needed now to keep our women and girls safe.
