Former New Zealand cricketer Chris Cairns' trial for perjury is underway in London.
A jury for the month-long trial is being selected, then the case is expected to be adjourned for up to a week as legal arguments take place before the judge.
The crown will open its case next week, and call the first witness, which is likely to be former team-mate Lou Vincent.
The 45-year old has pleaded not guilty to a charge of making a false statement in saying he never cheated at cricket in a successful defamation case he took against former Indian Premier league boss Lalit Modi.
Cairns has said he's prepared for a grueling trial where he can face his accusers in an open forum and clear his name once and for all.
