UPDATED 5:00pm: Protestors flocked to Whangarei town centre today, to protest the construction of one of New Zealand's largest battery hen farms.
Craddock Farms is building a new egg factory farm in Patumahoe in south Auckland, which will hold 310 thousand chickens.
Protest organiser, Deirdre Sims says around 35 protesters holding placards and wearing chicken suits crowded outside Yovich & Co to make their voices heard.
Ms Sims says Yovich & Co are the shareholders of Craddock Farms, so they're appealing for them to put their money into something more ethical.
In a statement, Yovich & Co Wealth Management and YHPJ confirm they are not shareholders in Craddock Farms Limited however, as listed with the New Zealand Companies Office, two YHPJ directors are directors and shareholders in Craddock Farms Ltd
