Auckland church wants questions to submit to God

If you have a burning question for God, an Auckland church may be the answer to your prayers.

Greenlane Christian Centre has created a website, nzasksgod.co.nz, where anyone can submit inquiries.

The most popular will be answered by a theologically-trained team.

Pastor Jonathan Dove said it's early days yet, but questions are already coming through.

"Our most popular ones would be things like 'why does god intervene sometimes and other times not?', 'why do some people go to hell if God is such a loving God?', 'are you the same God as Muslims worship?'"

The church said it wants to hear from everyone, no matter their background or beliefs.

Pastor Dove said part of 'NZ Asks God' is about removing the barriers people can have around religion.

"Some of those sadly have pretty bad stories about how people have engaged with them in the past - we'd like to help break down those walls so people can have good dialogue."
