A Give-a-Little page supporting the family of a Christchurch man who died on a flight to Dubai has received nearly $6,000 in donations.

Father of two Simon Gilby was travelling to London with his wife and two kids.

The family is working through the legal process with Dubai authorities and waiting for approval from their insurance company before holding a funeral.
