Murray McCully is going to Saudi Arabia this weekend, but he's steering well clear of the $11 million sheep farm paid for by New Zealand taxpayers.
The trip includes a meeting with the head of the Gulf Cooperation Council in Riyadh, and free trade discussions.
A spokesman for the Foreign Affairs Minister said the sheep farm is not on his itinerary.
Mr McCully will also visit the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.
