Far North iwi are planning to sit down and discuss access to 90 Mile Beach with tour bus companies.

If the Te Hiku Claims Settlement Bill is passed a committee made up of iwi and local body members will co-manage the beach.

Te Rarawa chair, Haami Piripi says they need to address vehicle access as the beach is being damaged.

Mr Piripi says iwi will need to talk with bus companies and come to a joint agreement, so they maintain the area with little impact on others.
