As apps like Uber Eats cause the online food delivery market to boom, restaurants are turning to the concept of dark kitchens.
In the UK and Australia, there's an increasing trend of businesses setting up kitchen offshoots ... designed solely to fill online orders.
Hospitality expert Wendy Hargreaves says traditional restaurants are struggling to keep up with the online demand, and at the same time maintain food quality for their in-house customers.
"Then if you've got bike riders with lycra on their buts, wandering through a restaurant constantly its not so great for the experience of a restaurant either."
