A computer-based treatment is helping stroke sufferers improve their memory.
The Canterbury University project has been shown to create significant improvements in patients' prospective memory - the ability to remember to do something in the future.
Professor Tanja Metrovic says the research will benefit New Zealand with savings in rehabilitation.
She says the ultimate aim is to have the treatment available freely over the internet, to help stroke survivors.
