An Auckland University PhD student has developed a new technology to make anti-wrinkle creams work far better than before.
And it's a world first.
Senior lecturer Dr Zimei Wu says they've developed a way to get peptides, which are found in anti-wrinkle creams, to dissolve through skin cells.
"It's creating very little tiny bubbles which carry peptides inside and these very smart amounts of particles can pass through the skin barriers."
The technology has taken doctoral student Travis Badenhurst four years to develop.
