A call for the health system, to do more for men.
93 percent of men surveyed by the Mental Health Foundation are keen to give advice to their mates, but fewer than half would ask for it.
Spokesman Hugh Norriss says the mental health advice available is not targeted at men.
"Men don't get the help that they need from health services as much as women. There is something about the way we give our health information out to men."
He says it shows men could reach out to each other.
"By all means get professional support and get the support of your spouse or partner but your male friends may be an untapped resource for you."
Mr Norriss says it's important men feel comfortable reaching out for help, as everyone goes through tough times.
