The Rolling Stones have shown their ability to connect with a younger crowd at last night's gig at Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland.
A 40,000 strong crowd turned out for the final show in their rescheduled tour.
NewstalkZB's Andrew Dickens was there.
He says while they're now in their 60s and 70s, the Stones still have an appeal which crosses generation barriers.
"There were so many young people just going crazy the way young people have gone crazy for the last 50 years. They just transcended all the ages, the songs were great, the last song 'Satisfaction' was just as punky and edgy as anything from today.
"They more than lived up to their expectations. They were much better than anyone thought. I think from the halfway point with 'Midnight Rambler' with Mick Taylor, something happened to the band and the crowd and they might have realised that it was the last time the Rolling Stones were ever coming to New Zealand, and it was truly magnificent."
