Adam Sandler and Easter binge watching are amongst the interesting revelations to come from Netflix today.
The streaming service has revealed New Zealand's binging habits this week as part of their Year in Review.Â
Â
The review has pulled trends from survey and viewing data in aim to illustrate not just what Kiwis have been watching, but how they've been watching it.
The review revealed that the busiest day for Netflix was Good Friday.Â
It also highlighted one fan's strange obsession with Adam Sandler. One Kiwi watched his comedy flick Grown Ups 331 times this year, which is nearly once every day.Â
New Zealand's most watched Netflix shows include the new Stranger Things series, the controversial 13 Reasons Why and hit comedy Orange Is the New Black.
More interesting insight comes from a survey of 60,000 Netflix members from around the world who watch TV as a couple.
It shows the top three shows we watched together were Stranger Things, 13 Reasons Why and A Series of Unfortunate Events as well as the more nostalgic offerings.
However, our top three most cheat-worthy shows - the ones we skipped ahead of our partners on - also included Stranger Things and 13 Reasons.
So while we start off with good intentions, the desire to get to the end as fast as possible ultimately wins over - this is what Netflix has dubbed "binge-racing".
And our most binge-raced series will come as no surprise;Â Stranger Things.Â
