The Shape of Water and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri were the big winners at the 90th Oscar Awards.
Guillermo del Toro's Shape of Water scored four awards after leading the nominations with 13 nods, while Three Billboards nabbed two awards and its star France Mc Dermod stole the show with a powerful speech in which she urged actors to contractually demand diversity in their casts and crews.

It was a year for making history too, with Rachel Morrison becoming the first female to be nominated for best cinematographer for her work on Mudbound.
Greta Gerwig, who was nominated twice for her work on Lady Bird, was only the fifth woman to be nominated for Best Director and the first woman in eight years to get a nod in the category.
And Jordan Peele became the first African-American writer to win best original screenplay for Get Out.
He was also the fifth African-American man to ever to be nominated for Best Director and the first to land three nominations.
