Popular Kiwi comic act Flight of the Conchords are set to return to the small screen as they film a one-hour HBO special this year.
Jermaine Clement and Bret McKenzie had already scheduled a Flight of the Conchords stage tour of the United Kingdom for March and April.
Now one of the UK shows will be turned into an HBO special screening in May, the company's president of programming Casey Bloys said in a statement.
The special would be a filming of the duo performing new and classic Flight of the Conchords songs at one of the UK shows.
Clement last week ignited speculation about the small screen return, telling an Entertainment Tonight reporter he and McKenzie were "going to film a little something this year".
The pair's Flight of the Conchords series ran for two seasons on HBO until 2009.
The show about a folk-rock band trying to make it big in New York starred Clement and McKenzie and was nominated for 10 Emmys during its brief lifetime.
The duo followed it up with a hit album featuring songs from the series.
