Scott Base scientists and staff feature in Air New Zealand's latest safety video, which is being launched today.
The airline's 'World's Coolest Safety Video' was filmed in Antarctica and at the Antarctic Gallery at Canterbury Museum.
The video stars actor and environmentalist Adrian Grenier and features sweeping vistas of the frozen continent.
22 students from Hornby Primary School in Christchurch also have roles in the video.
Families of those who died in the Erebus disaster, which involved an Air New Zealand flight, have had mixed reactions to the video.
While Erebus is not shown, some family members have said that they were not consulted before the video was filmed.Â
Jayne Holtham, who lost her father in the 1979 crash, told Newshub that she found the video weird.
However, some family members have expressed their enjoyment for the video.Â
