A Hokitika woman is in a serious condition after being crushed by her own van.
The 73-year-old was removing objects from the back of the vehicle when it rolled backwards over her.
Bystanders were unable to get it off her until paramedics arrived.
She was flown to Greybase Hospital in a critical condition.
Police are investigating
