Police are warning motorists to take extra care on the roads after two people died in motorbike incidents Waikato roads within four hours of each other last night.

The first crash occurred along Te Ohaki Road at Huntly about 6.30pm where a 15-year-old pillion passenger died.

The driver also suffered injuries and was taken to Waikato Hospital.

The second fatality involved two motorcycles colliding on Koromatua Rd in Temple View about 10.20pm.

One male rider died at the scene and the second was taken to Waikato Hospital in serious condition.

Police say it appears alcohol and a lack of safety helmets were involved in the second crash.
