Two people have been killed in a truck crash near Norsewood, between Dannevirke and Waipukurau.
Police say the truck left the road at about 12.30 about five kilometres north of Norsewood.
State Highway 2 has been closed ever since.
A Police spokesman said the road “will be closed for some time”, but that diversions were in place.
