A motorcyclist is in a critical condition after a crash in Selwyn District, hours after two motorcyclists were injured in a crash in the same district and one died on Banks Peninsula.
The critically injured motorcyclist was involved in a crash at the intersection of Waimakariri Gorge Road and Waddington Road at 6.25pm on Sunday, police say.
Earlier two motorcyclists thought to be travelling in convoy crashed in Selwyn District near Christchurch.
That accident happened on Old West Coast Road, near Redmonds Road, about 2.45pm.
One motorcyclist has serious injuries and the other has moderate injuries.
A 24-year-old male motorcyclist died after colliding with a car on Canterbury's Banks Peninsula.
That accident happened on State Highway 75, the Christchurch-Akaroa Road, at Duvauchelle, about 9.40am on Sunday.
