A person is seriously ill after being stung by bees north of Auckland this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Leigh Rd, Matakana, at 4.18pm, a Fire Service spokeswoman said.
The Fire Service has been tasked with setting up a landing site for a Westpac Rescue Helicopter which is heading to the scene.
