The Napier-Taupo Rd is closed after a serious crash.

However, police are not releasing details about how many vehicles are involved or how many people are injured.

The Fire Service said it involved a car and a motorbike.

Senior Sergeant David Sutherland said the crash occurred just before 10am this morning and he's urging motorists to delay their travel or avoid that section of the road, near Eskdale, at the Napier end.
