A motorcycle and a car have collided on Auckland's North Shore, injuring four people.

The accident happened near the corner of Mokoia and Chelsea View roads around 4:40pm.

A St John spokeswoman says one person was seriously injured in the crash, another has moderate injuries, and two have minor injuries.

Crews from two ambulances assessed the injured.

North fire communications shift manager Megan Ruru says their crews also helped police and paramedics.
