Police are making inquiries after a man was shot in Christchurch overnight.
Police were called to Dallington at 9.30pm on Friday night following reports a man had been shot.
In a statement police said the man was admitted to Christchurch Hospital with a wound consistent with a gun shot.
The injury wasn't life threatening.
Christchurch CIB were investigating the incident and want to speak to anyone who was in Dallington and surrounding suburbs at the time and may have seen or heard the incident or anything suspicious.
