A Tasman man's been airlifted to hospital after being trapped under a quad bike.
The 53-year-old was working on a hillside in Rainy River south of Nelson at nine this morning when the bike tipped.
He was not able to free himself and was trapped with serious lower leg injuries for nearly five hours before being found by a fellow worker.
Locals helped to free him and he's now in Nelson Hospital.
